Just trying to get used to the influx of physiotherapy exercises I have had added to my daily routine. It's been hard and extremely difficult to try to get them all done, the energy just isn't there to do the current combined amount of exercises. So I'm struggling quite a bit. According to the OT at the hospital a couple of weeks ago when I went through another assessment it would take while to build up to the total required amount of exercises so not to worry it would come in time as long as I didn't give up, it would gradually get easier and I would be able to advance to the point that I will manage to do all the required amount of repetitions, the required repetitions per day, I will eventually get there.

Not in the foreseeable future, but eventually. It'll be hard work and I'm starting to feel the strain of it, so I am back-peddling and not doing as many reps each time or daily so I can then gradually increase as I'm physically able to do so.

So unfortunately a lot of my time is spent struggling to and from appointments, doing said exercises and battling the increase in fatigue and all out exhaustion I'm experiencing.

My hands are badly impaired and the OT measured them at less than 10% strength/ability that they should be. So I have several exercises plus contrast bathing exercises to do several times a day and the increase of pain/stiffness is making typing more than a little difficult so I am typing rarely which is impacting on my various blogs with me trying to split my limited typing time between them so no one blog becomes abandoned.

So I'm still around just not able to interact much unfortunately.

I'm spending a lot of time using my Mum's Acer Aspire laptop these days. To do everything from normal browsing, to writing posts and have installed my word processing program Atlantis today so I can hopefully begin working on my non-blogger-type writing on it as well.

At the moment I actually feel more comfortable typing on the laptop when trying to type longer pieces. Even my new - and wonderful - Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and mouse I feel uncomfortable writing for more than a couple of minutes. I have found this doesn't happen so quickly, and in some instances very rarely, while using the laptop.

I started using the laptop more frequently because my Mum wanted it to be used more often than her previous computer, her small net-book, which she gave to my middle nephew when she upgraded to this laptop, and so that it doesn't sit around in the bag waiting on the short periods she uses it. I didn't use her net-book very frequently and only really used it when she had something she wanted me to fix for her or when we babysat or had to stay in at my brother's house for several hours to await delivery and such.

She wanted this computer to be used and get her money's worth out of it rather than sit inside the bag waiting for the half a dozen - at the most - times she used it on either a weekly or bi-weekly period.

All I know is it's more comfortable for me to use and also as it mostly gets stored in my bedroom when my Mum isn't actively using it, well it can be a big life saver for me when I am suffering from a particularly extended period of insomnia or am too uncomfortable or in too much pain to sleep at night and the early hours. I have access to the web or can read or even use it jot down notes and write drafts for blog posts. A whole lot better than lying awake all night just hoping I'll drop unexpectedly. Now that makes for a very long and boring painful night.

I am also looking into recording videos to use on my blogs via You Tube with the built in webcam and using free/basic editing software to edit and compress it for possible posting. Or as a video diary to myself. I sat in front of it on Saturday when I was home alone and rambling into the webcam on and off for a couple of hours and even if I don't edit, compress and post it I found the time spent just talking, even if it was just to myself via webcam, as pretty therapeutic.
Currently I am checking out a livejournal client usable with dreamwidth called ElJay.

At the moment it only supports one account and I am using it on my DW account. That said the developer says they hope to have multiple accounts by the end of October and seeing as the app is being regularly updated they might just manage to do so.

Well, my little tablet has arrived. I've been playing around with it for about a week and a half now, 'm still trying to get a handle on it. Apart from a few small niggles I am enjoying it so far.

I've left the protective plastic cover that is put on the screen during packaging to save my screen from damage from either my fingers/nails or the stylus before I get an actual screen protector. My case with built in keyboard is supposed to come with a free screen protector so I should have that early in the next week. I should've gotten it at the beginning of this past week but it took Royal Mail a week from posting date to inform me that the supplier had failed to put sufficient postage on the package and another 24 hours after making up the card stating how much I'll need to pay to get my item through my letterbox to inform me of this. I paid on lunchtime Thursday online and was told my package would be delivered within 2 to 3 working days. So Tuesday at the latest, annoying as it's sitting in the local depo less than 10 minutes from my home and they should've been informed I had paid the under postage (plus the £1 admin fee) within a few minutes of them receiving payment for the fee.

Unfortunately the blogging based apps for use with my journals and blogs aren't compatible with my generic budget brand of tablet according to the google marketplace which is a bit disappoiinting but I guess I'll just have to update by web browser when using my tablet. In fact this is an error with Goggle Marketplace when registering my device, I have since downloaded a few apps that their android marketplace state as incompatible elsewhere with no problems with either install or using. Unfortunately none of these other marketplaces have the blogging apps available so I can't get them that way.

But apart from the mislabelling of my device and Google Marketplace stopping me from downloading and trying apps they decide should be incompatible I'm enjoying testing out the Android system although I've only used my tablet to browse online and test out a few apps.
